Former Baylor wide receiver K.D. Cannon has been cut by the San Francisco 49ers, according to a report from ESPN-Central Texas Radio's David Smoak.

Cannon went undrafted in April's NFL draft but signed a deal with San Francisco that included a $45,000 signing bonus, much larger than most undrafted free agents.
Cannon has great speed and athleticism but concerns about his route running likely hurt his draft stock. Cannon finished third in the Baylor record books for receiving yards and touchdowns as well as receptions. He declared for the draft after his junior season despite being advised by the NFL draft committee to stay in school for his senior season.
